HW 8

“GD USA.” GD USA, 2009, p. 199.

I choose this image from the magazine GD USA the November and December 2009 edition.  I choose this image because I thought that the way the fish were placed in the image created a nice positive space and the white created a nice negative space around them.

In the image of the skyline above it shows an illusion of depth.  The different repetitions of lines and shape show texture that helps represent the different liner perspectives.  I believe in this image it represents one, two, and three-point perspectives.  The left sides shows three-point, the center shows two-point, and the right sides shows one-point perspective.

In this image you will find many forms of unity. There is unity by proximity because all of the pieces of design are close together. There is unity by repetition because the patterns are repeating. There is unity by continuation because the design is repeating and continuing may times.

HW 2

CA, August 2017, Page 8

In this image, because of where the photographer is standing it makes the colors stand out.  This is a favorite of mine because of the angle at which the photographer captured the image.

In this image there is a lot going on.  There is a lot to look at and take in.  It is very chaotic.  It is easier to look at once you've used Gestalt's psychology.  By using his strategies one will first look at this image a whole and then see it piece by piece.
